Iittala Ultima Thule Serving Platter, this range was inspired by the melting ice in Lapland, Tapio Wirkkala originally created the surface in the 1960s after carving into a graphic mould. An exclusive design reflecting the thousands of hours spent perfecting the glass-blowing technique required to produce the effect. The Ultima Thule range was originally created in the 1960s for the First Class Cabins in the Finnair Helsinki - New York route and is still used to this day.
